Beija Flor are a Calgary band who recently put out an amazing album called The American. It’s really great post-punk alt-country I-don’t-know-what style album with prog rock chord progressions and operatic overtones. Wonderful stuff. I’d recommend picking up a copy at a local Calgary record store or on the iTunes Music Store.
